Big Man on Campus!

Frankie's Pre-K class took a field trip to the bowling alley on Wednesday.  It was neat to see him interact with his friends and he even bowled a spare (those bumpers are amazingly helpful!).  He was quite cognizant of the fault line and never dropped the ball on his toes - it was a successful day!

While Dad's Away . . .

Frank's at a men's retreat through church this weekend so, to excite the children and fill some time, we arranged quite the party tonight!  All three Whiteing children (Lexi's two best friends and Ryan, the boys' best friend) came over for pizza and movie night!  Ryan went home after two hours but the girls are spending the night (it's 9:53pm and I haven't heard anyone for a few minutes . . . fingers crossed!)!

Easter fun at home

Daddy had to cover a shift at the hospital on Easter so we woke up super early to see what the Easter Bunny had brought!  Henry was most excited about his Power Ranger action figure and Frankie was thrilled to actually OWN a video game (as opposed to checking them out from the library)!  Lexi got a booklet to organize and display her state quarter collection.  She's only missing about 10 states so get ready to go through your quarters!  She's on the prowl and will even trade you a "non-state quarter" if you have a state she's looking for!

After church we went to Grandma & Papa's house for lunch so Mom wouldn't have to entertain post-holiday children alone!

If we could freeze them in time!

Sometimes I wish we could freeze the kids in time because I know it won't be long before these days are gone.

These days of Henry in my lap and Frankie snuggled in close reading library books until my throat hurts.

These days of Lexi saying she has two "LBBFF's" (translation: Little Brother Best Friends Forever)

These days of Frankie wanting to play video games with his MOM because (in his words, "You're so awesome at video games!" - this one will probably leave first as soon as he realizes I'm actually the absolute WORST at video games!)

But, for now, we'll just hold them close and, ten years from now, try to remember how much they once loved hanging out with each other and with us!
