The Master of the Universe Turns 3!

Everyone but Frankie was amazed with Nana's He-Man cake but Frankie had always known she could pull it off. Come on, if Nana can't make a He-Man cake, no one can. In fact, no one has! The store has had the cake mold since 1983 but Carol was the first to ask for it! Carol, you definitely have the power!

Wichita zoo & conversations with Henry

We took advantage of the warm weather on Sunday and spent the afternoon at the Wichita zoo. Daddy's feet weren't in zoo condition after playing soccer in dress shoes but Nana & Popo came to help!

Months ago we bought tickets to see one of Lexi's friends perform in the musical Annie. The week before the performance we checked out the movie from the library to get acquainted with Daddy Warbucks, Miss Hannigan, and Sandy. It was a purely magical night and Lexi's asked if we can go to all of Molly's plays "until we die"!

Marathon Weekend

Driving 7 hours round trip for a 29 hour visit . . . that's a "marathon weekend" in itself. Toss in running a half marathon and life gets even more interesting. Did I mention Henry's cutting 3 teeth and it was Daylight Savings Weekend?

Finish Line Fun

For the first time ever, I had "fans" waiting at the finish line after a half marathon. Frank and the kids (notice friend, Keira, came in Henry's place since he was napping!) made it to the finish a full 10 seconds before I came across it! The girls had made me construction paper signs ("Run Fast!") and medals all morning and were super excited to see the treats at he end of a race!

Knowing they'd be waiting helped me finish a full 3 minutes and 5 seconds faster than the race 3 weeks ago!
