Walk-a-Thon

The elementary school held its annual Walk-a-Thon fundraiser last week.  Frankie ran 1.25 miles in 15 minutes and Lexi ran 1.75 miles in 20 minutes.  Both have already set goals for next year!

A day in the life . . .

Frank's parents commented on how much they enjoyed really getting to know the kids while we were in Georgia.  Being on their "home turf", they got a sense for the day in-day out of our lives.  I wanted to give you all the same experience via pictures.

Our days are filled with playing outside:

It took 10 years but . . .

Frank and I finally took our first kid-free vacation!  We flew to Atlanta and enjoyed several days on the beach and hanging out with Frank's sister and brother-in-law.  I read two books, slept in, and ate incredible seafood!  It was wonderful to be gone but even more wonderful to come home.  We were greeted with huge grins and bear hugs!  The kids were sorry to see Nana and Popo leave, though, and still talk about the fun things they did together!

Where has the month gone?

I finally uploaded the pictures from our camera and realized it's been a long time since I've put any on the blog!  Where has the last month gone??

1) Frankie's morning Kindergarten class had a picnic!  Almost all of the 14 Kindergartners were able to come and it was wonderful to meet them all.  Can you tell the picnic took place on the day they were learning about the color blue in class?

2) Henry started preschool!  He has Frankie's preschool teacher and feels so grown-up to finally be in the "big kid class"!  Here he is on the first day of school!

3) Ahhh, Spirit Week at the elementary school!  What's not to love?!  Today was Crazy Hair Day and even Henry got involved!  Frankie opted for the mohawk look while Lexi revisited Princess Leia buns.
